elegia – I Know Places

Photographer elegia from Manchester, UK, submitted this enchanting set of analogue photographs that contains Polaroids and classical 35mm film shots of model Faye Taylor.

Along her creative work elegia wrote:

“Faye and I have been working together for several years, and one of our favourite things to do is to find shoot locations which are often overlooked by others. The sort of places where the architecture is maybe considered ugly, are the very places that we’re most drawn to.

I’d noticed a location in my neighbourhood which had become increasingly more overgrown and abandoned over the last few months. So on a scorching hot summers’ day we packed our bags and set off to go make some pictures there whilst it was still standing. We waited until there weren’t any cars on the road to see us as we climbed over the padlocked fences and piggybacked our way through the grass to explore. The building complex was definitely empty and Faye commented that it had a bit of a Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe about it, as the sun glinted over the grass and trees around us.”
