In collaboration with 4 beautiful models: Varvana, Olga, Ekaterina and Sima we’ve created a melancholic and a little bit naive portrait series which I called “The Cult”. Once a year in Russia the night before Christmas young women used to get together to do the rituals to look into the future. In my pictures I wanted to show the mysterious and sacral ritual of fortune-telling.

Maria Kinosian is a 25-year-old photographer from Russia who creates romantic and melancholic stories in her pictures. – Like in this beautiful series, ‘The Cult’, which is her latest one.
