These are photographs from a series I’ve been working on that encompass my experience of youth.
Marissa Alper is an artist located in Richmond, VA. This post shows a selection of analogue photos she is working on and concentrates on different perspectives visualizing youth. Her photos appear authentic – they aren’t posed or look forced – they are like snapshots, memories held forever and showcase how Marissa experienced the moments when she released the shutter and took the photo. And it’s just the perfect way that all photos were captured on 35mm film as this analog technique gives every picture a suitable nostalgic flair.
