David Collier – Saturday night in

This expressive, analogue photo-series by David Collier gives a cheerful atmosphere and looks all in all super relaxed.

“This was shot in a local Air BnB apartment near my place at Maroubra in Sydney, they are a good and not costly idea for locations and the owners were cool for us to shoot there.

It’s a story about having a Saturday night in, just chilling out, having some pizza, cheesels and a bottle of champers.

Earlier before everyone arrived I spotted a Mr Whippy van nearby and bribed him to come back later in the day for some ice cream and to get a couple of shots which added nicely to the story.

The images are all either shot with 35mm film or Polaroid, it was a real fun night with my trusty team and not being too serious, just having some fun and a few laughs (and our talent was willing and hungry to eat and drink!).”
