Paula Aguirre and her sister Mariángeles, who are both based between Berlin,Germany, and Córdoba, Argentina, are the founders of the sustainable fashion brand tHERAPY Recycle and Exorcise. Another stunning photography-work by them was featured on Grunge’n’Art in Summer last year. You can see the whole post HERE.
Their new, vivid photo-series, ‘Trash Days’, was taken on their last trip to Santiago, Chile, and captured on 35mm film by using much double exposure.
What is tHERAPY Recycle & Exorcise?
It is a brand & project that works on the field of sustainable fashion and DIY, connecting them with the issues of personal communication, self expression and personal identity. We are lovers of (re)design and authenticity. We promote ethical and conscious fashion through our DIY project.
What we do:
We rework – recycle and upcycle – and re-purpose vintage and second hand pieces of clothing, materials, objects & accessories we find around our trips. We use our items for ourselves or we sell them at stores and flea markets in Argentina and Europe. Also we do workshops and live interventions in art galleries on DIY AND SUSTAINABLE FASHION to raise awareness; we take photo shootings presenting collections of items interacting with landscapes and people to communicate our message and we create fashion editorials in collaboration with independent magazines.
